Miyako Kuzunoha is the 25th Raidou Kuzunoha in the Saved Modern Day Timeline. A half-breed, Miyako is a special Devil Summoner who is able to store great amounts of Magnetite (MAG) within her body. A skilled Devil Summoner who is equally on the same par with Raidou Kuzunoha the XIV due to her being a half breed.

PERSONALITY
Miyako is a quiet and serious person; she also has rather detached demeanour as a result of her militaristic childhood. This also left her wanting on a social level, though this does have its finer points, as it lets her keep her fellow acquaintances in line. Her interactions with Raidou Kuzunoha the XIV and Narumi Shouhei allow her to develop as a person, subsequently letting her make friends with the rest of the people. She takes her duties as a Raidou Kuzunoha very seriously, as well professionally, and is willing to discard any emotions if it rises.
She is also polite and well-mannered, especially to the Kuzunoha Elders, folks and to the Demons.
It is revealed at the end that her true self is much more serious and not at all like how she was shown at first. Lucifer states that she does not care for humans, and wishes to be able to drink their blood, but is unable to due to a contract made with an unknown person.
Upon realizing this, Miyako fears herself of reverting back to her true self. But she vowed that she wouldn't give in. She is seen rather calm, but Miyako is short-tempered, possibly an influence from Kyouji Kuzunoha The First.
History
❝ Why me? Why? ❞
ーYoung Horou.
[ Year 20XX ]
Born in year 20XX of the Apocalypse timeline, Miyako's real name was 'Horō Kuzunoha (葛葉ホロウ, Kuzunoha Horou)'. Her family resides in a shrine owned by the Kuzunoha clan. Her father was secretly a cult member of Ring of Gaea; they are commonly associated with occult activities, and generally embody the Chaos alignment. The cult heard a calling; which the require a child as a sacrifice to Lucifer. The child is to be Horou, who is still unborn at the time. Her father convinced her mother; who was pregnant with Horou at that time, to offer up the child for a greater cause and injected the blood of Demon into the embryo.
When Horou was born, she did not cry. The infant was silent; which baffled the medics and her mother. As she grew up, her father has been feeding her a special candy to satiate her odd hunger. Horou finds it delicious – which sparked fear into her mother, realizing that she gave birth to a monster. Her mother started giving her the cold shoulder, not wanting to interact with Horou and abused the young child physically and verbally. She favors her other siblings, which was born normal. The household despised Horou so much that she was isolated; being the black sheep of the family. Her father turned a blind eye to this matter– he only cared about her growing powers. Horou has attempted suicide numerous times but she finds out that her wounds regenerates no matter how much she hurt herself.
It was when her mother decided to poison Horou. In pain, she pleaded her mother to help, her mother could only stare at her coldly and expressed her regret for giving birth to Horou. She told her to take her own life since the poison did not kill her. Angered, Horou started a massacre throughout the household. She killed her siblings first before killing her own mother even though they apologized for treating her badly for years. After killing everyone, she feasts on their blood.
Her father however, was joyed to see this. He told her that she was the chosen one to bring salvation and defeat the Gods, as well telling her that it is time to execute the plan which the Ring of Gaea had been planning for so long. This only fueled her hatred, now directed towards her father. Her father opened up the Akarana Corridor and traveled back to Taisho 20. The Ring of Gaea planned to destroy the past, so that the ICBM launch would never happen and thus maybe, alter the timeline. Only a member of a Kuzunoha Clan is able to travel back in time, and Horou's father mastered the Art of Spirit Cast-Away.
[ Taisho 20 and Kyouji Kuzunoha the First ]
Upon arrival, they unexpectedly ran into Kyouji Kuzunoha The First, who sensed their coming. Under the orders of Yatagarasu, Kyouji killed Horou's father. Horou laughed at this and started bashing her father’s corpse, beating it into a pulp before feasting on his blood. Seeing this and deeming Horou as a threat, Kyouji attempted to kill Horou, in which the girl put up a fight.
However, without much experience and still immature, it doesn’t take long for Horou to be defeated.
Horou pleaded Kyouji to kill her, stating that a monster like her should be put down and that she didn’t have anything else left. As their MAGs resonated, Horou’s memories flashed before Kyouji’s eyes. Instead of killing Horou, Kyouji symphatized Horou – he sees himself in her; he, too, was hated by the clan for doing the dirty works and being ruthless. He took Horou under his wing and raised her secretly; away from Yatagarasu eyes.
He named her ‘Miyako Kuzunoha’.
Miyako spent a few years in Taisho 20, with Kyouji the First being her mentor. He brought her along with his dreadful missions and let her feed on the Demons or humans as he didn’t know a way to satiate her hunger. Miyako grew attached to Kyouji, seeing him as a father figure despite the two often bicker with each other.
Their time together did not last long when the Yatagarasu found out that Kyouji was actually taking care of Miyako, which they see her as a threat to the Capital. She was forced to seek an audience with the Elders of Kuzunoha, in which Kyouji couldn't interfere on this matter. With Miyako explaining her situation in the future and that she if a hybrid of a human and Demon, The Elders punished Miyako and had her undergo vigorous training to be the next any available Kuzunoha title in line. She was separated from Kyouji, and is sent to the other timeline.
(These events happened before Raidou Kuzunoha vs The Messenger of The Dead.)
[ Lucifer ]
During this interlude, Lucifer came across Miyako. He made a wager with her; by erasing her memories of her past and planting fake ones, would she change? Or would she revert to her old, murderous self?
Miyako cannot kill humans, and agreed to protect them, but it is not revealed with whom she made this contract, or who made the stipulation that she couldn't harm humans. (It is speculated to be one of the Elders of Kuzunohas) Miyako said she would change for the better, but Lucifer bet that she wouldn't change either way. He did erase her memories and planted fakes ones before she continues with her training.
[ Raidou Kuzunoha the XXV and the Kuzunoha Detective Agency. ]
After undergoing harsh training, Miyako is appointed to be Raidou Kuzunoha the XXV in the Saved Modern Day timeline. She exceed her training with flying colours, due to being a half-breed and being under mentor from Kyouji Kuzunoha The First before. However, Miyako vaguely remembers of her past origin -- nothing came into mind when she asked where she was born; she could only reply that she was adopted by Kyouji Kuzunoha The First. This is due to Lucifer erasing the memories of her past.
Miyako was reunited with Kyouji Kuzunoha, however it isn't exactly the Kyouji The First. Even so, she stayed alongside him, aiding him with his cases with Rei Reiho. Miyako sometimes performs her duties under the direct order from Madame Ginko, an overseer of the Kuzunoha clan.
After finding out that a student named Jun'ya Echi took over Kyouji's body, Miyako is displeased, blaming the student for his death. However, when she found out that Kyouji possess another body, Miyako's anger subsided. She stated that it doesn't feel the same without Kyouji's original body. After the student took up the tittle of Kyouji Kuzunoha the 77th, Miyako slowly opened up to him, often helping him on his whims. She also frequently visits Sukeroku or Daisuke Todoroki, which both is revealed to be Kyouji Kuzunoha the First possessing the bodies.
Miyako also frequently consumes a special candy made for her, as it was made by a blonde man who runs a candy store not too far from the shrine she stays.
[ If Remembering Myself... ]
In her dreams, Miyako started hearing chimes and voices telling her to find her true self. Miyako was intrigued of her past which she barely remembers, and started questioning herself on who she really is. It was during this time she took a mysterious case, under the client ‘Louis Cyphre’. She was to deal with the Demons which appeared much too frequent as of late and even during broad daylight, preying on innocent humans.
The case leads her to the docks, where she was ambushed by a bunch of Demons. Miyako fought against them easily, only to be shot down by a tranquilizer, immobilizing her. The blonde man who runs the candy store appears before her, stating that he was her client – Louis Cyphre, and this was all a plan for them to meet. When Miyako asked what his intention was, he merely stated he wanted her to remember as he was losing his patience. He would then proceed to feed her blood from a vial, so much that she was inebriated. She started remembering of the wager between her and Lucifer, as well her very own existence.
Louis Cyphre was Lucifer in disguise. Lucifer was delighted that Miyako remembered, and started calling her by her real name - Horō Kuzunoha. He stated that she was his potential 'spark', since he was the one who orchestrated this whole ordeal ever since her father's involvement with the Ring of Gaea, even before she was born. Lucifer is planning to create a powerful demon, strong enough to lead the legions of Chaos in a final battle against YHVH and the Great Will. But his plan was foiled when Miyako made a contract/vow to an unknown person to not kill humans. He also expressed that he is very fond of her; calling her special.
Lucifer states that Miyako does not feed on humans -- she feeds on the blood of demons, and that caused a few Demons to fear her existence even though they were attracted to the amount of MAG she had within her. He told her that the Demons that she fought earlier were humans; and humans are capable of becoming a Demon, be it by their dark desires or simply drink her blood – which is proven to be special. It is revealed that Miyako was injected with Lucifer’s blood before she was born, thus turning her into a hybrid and is has a vast amount of MAGs within her. He offered her to join him on his conquest; stating that she has no one else to care for her except for him.
Miyako rejected this offer, stating that she wouldn’t rest until she kills him with her own hands. He simply chuckled and leaves her, telling her to reconsider the offer. Angered and insulted by this, Miyako regains her strength and chased after Lucifer, he told her that it wasn't her time to kill him just yet and shot her in point blank range; causing Miyako to lose an eye in the process. Lucifer comments, very calmly, that the special candy that was being fed ever since she was born, was the mixture blood of the Demons and human organs. He wonders if she ever will be able to kill humans again, as she could have the real thing then.
After Lucifer disappeared into another timeline, Miyako was left alone. Even after she sustained such heavy injuries, she is still alive. Painful memories came flooding into her mind, Miyako quietly lamented over her life.
She swore that she would hunt down Lucifer and end him and the Great WIll someday.
[ Meeting with Raidou Kuzunoha the XIV ]
Months later after her encounter with Lucifer, Miyako has recovered from her injuries. However, she became a woman with few words. She parted ways with the Kuzunoha Detective Agency and seek to find her true self and to hunt down Lucifer as well. Miyako spend most of her time in Akarana Corridor, observing the hourglass and timelines closely. She was curious about Raidou Kuzunoha the XIV, which she heard who was the strongest and well known back in Taisho 20. Travelling back to Taisho 20, she disguised herself as a boy and entered Yumizuki Imperial High to stalk Raidou Kuzunoha the XIV. During his fight with a Dark Summoner, Miyako jumped in and aided him, defeating the Dark Summoner, saving Raidou the XIV's life in a nick of time. Gouto-Douji, however, pointed out that Miyako has a scent of a demon, but as well a human.
They took her to seek an audience with the Herald of the Yatagarasu, which the herald recognizes Miyako immediately. She pointed out that Miyako was an ally, a Raidou Kuzunoha from an alternate future. She even told Raidou the XIV about Miyako's origin as a half-breed and is potentially dangerous. The herald asked Raidou the XIV even if knowing these information, would he still accept Miyako. Raidou answered that he didn't mind of it; he believes in Miyako since she saved his life. Hearing this, the herald allowed Miyako to stay in the timeline. Miyako was later then introduced to Narumi Shouhei, the owner of Narumi Detective Agency. Miyako still disguises as a boy and attends to Yumizuki Imperial High daily, even aiding Raidou the XIV and Narumi occasionally. Slowly but surely, Miyako slowly opens up to Raidou the XIV and the others, albeit keeping a few distance away from them.
Relationships
[ Raidou Kuzunoha the XIV - Jouhei Kuzunoha ]
Being the superior Raidou, Miyako looked up to the 14th, and offers her aid whenever. The two were pretty similiar, both has a quiet demeanor. Though, the 14th is much level-headed than the hot-blooded Miyako. Miyako first developed a crush on the 14th, but knowing the circumstances and her duties as a Raidou Kuzunoha, she discarded those feelings away. She is also very protective of him; stating that he is the key to shape both futures.
She acts as his distant relative when she attended the same school as him. Miyako also tend to be jealous when women tends to get close to him.
[ Narumi Shouhei ]
Shouhei Narumi is the owner of Narumi Detective Agency, Miyako's second boss and is a major love interest as well. Miyako wasn't particularly fond of Narumi at first, this is mostly due to his chronic laziness. Even so, she has never complained even once and very often does chores for him when the 14th isn't in the office.
After seeing him risking his life numerous times, Miyako was ashamed of herself for judging him. She began to keep a close eye on him; making sure that he's safe. She'd often settle his debts using her own money. Travelling back and forth in timeline, Miyako soon realizes that she is fond of Narumi; missing his presence and even the scent of tobacco despite hating the scent of it. Even so, she did not reveal these feelings due to her role as a Raidou Kuzunoha.
There are two possible endings:
• Should Miyako decide to confess, she will quit being a Raidou Kuzunoha and stay in Taisho 20 for Narumi. Miyako will marry Narumi and have a son later.
• Should Miyako decide not to confess, she will bid farewell and return to the future as the future needed a Raidou Kuzunoha. She eventually buys the same building where Narumi Detective Agency used to be and turn it into her office and residence. This shows that Miyako still misses Narumi even after his passing.
[ Gouto-Douji ]
Despite his appearance as a cat, Miyako treats Gouto with utmost respect and care as he is one of the Elders of Kuzunoha. She'd seek his advice whenever she's in peril. Gouto has praised Miyako for being mentally disciplined, as she received a much more harsher training than 14th.
Miyako would sometimes spend time taking care of him by picking fleas, bathe him or play with him (he says he dislikes it but secretly enjoys it).
[ Lucifer ]
Being his doll, Miyako despises Lucifer greatly as he was responsible for what she had become. He seemed to care a great deal and perhaps, even infatuated about Miyako for what she is, often offering her to join his cause despite knowing her hatred for him and her intentions to kill him.
Deep down inside, Miyako knew that she couldn't bring herself to kill him even after all that he's done to her. This is because she knew that at the end of the world, he's the only one she has left.
